The Red Side

(2016 - current)

The Red Side is a creation from Christian D, an electronic musician from Rochester, NY. He began his production in 1995 and has since released a variety of works through multiple labels. Drawing from influences like The Orb, Aphex Twin, Skinny Puppy, and other dark techno/electronic styles, all Red Side tracks reside in the 120-135 bpm range and incorporate a vast amount of sampling from various sources. The overall sound of The Red Side shifts from hard minimal techno into sometimes intricate breakbeat or industrial sounding pieces.

Technology Scum (1997-2016) -

A project that relied heavily on the use of samplers and vintage synths with an emphasis on Drum & Bass, experimental, and generally lo-fi sounding music. It was through this alias that Christian carved out a name for himself with the Digital Hardcore and hard Drum & Bass communities, often playing live in the Boston electronic scene along with artists such as Cathode Ray Tube, Dummy Plug Conspiracy, and Frank Heiss (RIP).
